As an Eating Disorder Specialist with over 15 years of experience, I treat Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge-Eating Disorder; Males and Females; Children, Adolescents and Adults. I also work with Athletes and Compulsive Exercisers, Obesity, Compulsive Overeating, Body Image Issues and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).
My treatment is tailored to meet the needs of each individual client utilizing an integrative therapeutic model including psychodynamic, developmental, family systems and a non-diet approach.
I use a multi-disciplinary team approach, working closely with physicians, dieticians, psychiatrists and other health practitioners specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.
For two years, I worked and trained in the Eating Disorders Program at Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and developed a strong foundation of knowledge in the field of eating disorder treatment. Approximately 70% of my private practice is related to eating problems and body image issues.

I have made numerous presentations on various Eating Disorder related topics to colleagues, physicians, students, school counselors and nurses, mothers, college counselors, members of Houston Group Psychotherapy Society, Graduate School of Social Work and Clinical Social Work Interns and Fellows at Baylor Psychiatry Clinic.
